About the Club

The Junior Woman's Club of Hendersonville is a service club of women committed to improving the lives of children in Henderson County. Joining the Junior Woman's Club allows you to become part of a group of women who share a common desire to serve the community. In the process, we have fun together and build lasting relationships. We share ideas and make friends as we work to make a difference. The program at our club meetings allows our members to learn more about issues facing families and the community. Being a member teaches leadership skills and techniques that can help in all aspects of life.

The JWCH is involved with and funds many projects in the community and the state. Among those projects are:

When does the club meet?

The JWCH meets at 7:00pm on the third Tuesday of each month, except for June and July. The location changes month to month, but is usually at member's homes.

How do I become a member?

The members of the JWCH are women living in or near Henderson County who are committed to service in our community. Attend a meeting of the JWCH and fill out a Guest Information Sheet. This qualifies you as a provisional member and you may remain provisional for up to one year. Provisional members must attend a Clothing Closet orientation session, which are scheduled throughout the year. Attendance is also required at one additional general club or board meeting. Qualified provisional members will be invited to join the JWCH at our inductions in May and December each year.

What are the membership requirements?

  1. Pay annual dues of $50.00 (members joining in May pay ½ of this amount for the remainder of the year).
  2. Attend all meetings of the club. You can notify a board member if you are unable to attend a meeting.
  3. Participate in all JWCH fundraising events.
